Design & Supply of Electric Heating Systems
Thermal Fluid Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of custom electric heating systems. Our design capabilities include a variety of critical components and optional features to ensure an electric heating system that is catered to your exact needs. Our eclectic heating systems are cost-effective, highly efficient, and maintain a NEMA 4, 4X, 7, and 12 rating along with ASME, FM, and ASI compliance, ensuring quality and adherence to strict industry standards.
Electric Heating Systems Design
Our 3 phase heaters are suitable for both small and large capacity industrial applications ranging from 10kW to 5+ MW of power, and we offer vertical and horizontal configurations to suit a wide range of indoor or outdoor settings. Our electric heating systems are capable of controlling temperatures up to 750°F, with operating voltages ranging from 480 to 575 V and a frequency range of 50 to 60 Hz.
To ensure optimal performance, we offer a variety of critical components, including the heater, burner, specially designed isolation valves, strainer, pump, degasser, safety controls, expansion tank, SCR, and power controls.
Our other design capabilities include:
- Mount design. We offer stand-alone, skid mounted, and customized mounting options to ensure a system that is suited to your facility.
- Optional features. We offer a variety of optional features to accommodate any potential risk factors or other requirements for your facility. These features include temperature control valves, explosion-proofing elements, flue gas recovery, drain tanks, and secondary loops.
At Thermal Fluid Systems, Inc., our team of in-house experts will work with you to customize your heating unit and find the right combination of features, components, and operational capabilities to fit your needs.
Our systems can be used in industries ranging from plastics and textiles to petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, and more for applications such as:
- Heat exchangers
- Mixers
- Printing machines
- Molding presses
- Tank heating
- Kilns
- Fuel heating
- And many more!
Types of Electric Heating Systems
At Thermal Fluid Systems, we offer three main types of electric heating systems: flanged electric heating systems, immersion heating systems, and circulation heating systems.
Flanged Electric Heaters
Flanged heaters can heat corrosive solutions, heat transfer fluids, oil, and water. Each system is composed of bent tubes connecting to a central flange that contains the fluids at high pressure levels. One of the key advantages of flanged electric heaters is their versatility. They come in a wide range of sizes, power levels, and setups for use in various commercial and industrial environments.
Immersion Heaters
Immersion heaters heat a nichrome wire element encased in ceramic that’s submerged in the heating fluid — often water. As electricity causes the element to heat up, the water around the element also heats up. As the water passes through the heating element and rises to the top of the vessel, a convection current will build up to ensure even heat distribution.
Immersion heaters are particularly useful because the units can be submerged directly into a pipe or vessel full of fluid to start distributing heat. These units are also very efficient, with nearly all of the energy consumed by the heated product.
Circulation Heaters
Circulation heaters move process or thermal fluid across the heating element. This type of electric heating system offers many advantages including high thermal efficiency, small footprint, low maintenance, and compatibility with a wide range of gas and liquid fluids.
